Judge enters 'not guilty' plea for teen in shooting case
News

LAS VEGAS -- A teen facing four counts of attempted murder after allegedly firing a gun into the home of a fellow student was arraigned in Clark County District Court Thursday. It was the first time McKinnon has appeared in court since the shooting.

The attorney for Ayden McKinnon, 14, refused to enter a plea for his client and told the court the teen should not be tried as an adult. Judge Michelle Leavitt did enter a not guilty plea on behalf of McKinnon.

McKinnon is accused of walking up to the home of a former school friend near Grand Teton Drive and Jones Boulevard and firing several shots through the front door. Someone inside the home grabbed a gun and returned fire, hitting McKinnon.
