Two Teens Arrested in Connection with Deadly Shooting

LAS VEGAS - Las Vegas Metropolitan Police say they have arrested two men in connection with the deadly shooting of a 21-year-old Las Vegas man on Sunday.

Police say Steven Arroyo, 19, of Las Vegas and Dominic Commisso, 18, of Las Vegas were arrested Wednesday on one count of murder with a deadly weapon for the shooting death of Charles Taylor. They are also facing charges of attempted murder.

Police say Arroyo and Commisso approached the victim and his friends as they sat outside an apartment complex on Torrey Pines Drive near Lake Mead Boulevard. Eyewitnesses say Commisso told the group he was with a rival gang known as the Loco Boys. He identified himself as "Scandals".  Police say the groups got into an arguement and Commiso open fired on the group hitting Taylor several times.

Police were able to track down Arroyo and Commisso through surveillance video at a near-by Taco Bell Restaurant. Witnesses say the two were carrying bags of food from the restaurant when the shooting happened. Police compared that video with pictures of known members of the Loco Boys gang. Officers say several witnesses identified Commisso as the gang member known as "Scandals".

While police are calling this a gang-related shooting people close to Taylor say that is not the case. They say he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Taylor's friends and family held a candlelight vigil near where he died Wednesday. They say Taylor had a history with gangs, but moved to Las Vegas to get away from that lifestyle.
