$5M in prizes available through 'Vax Nevada Days' vaccine incentive program

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — In an effort to increase vaccination rates in Nevada, Governor Sisolak announced the state will be awarding prizes to Nevadans who get, or who have gotten, the COVID-19 vaccine.

"Vax Nevada Days" kicks off July 8 and runs through August 26. Gov. Sisolak said $5 million in prizes will be given out over the time period.

Random drawings will be conducted, and winners will be announced each week.

Children ages 12-17 who received the vaccine will be eligible for education savings plans, state parks permits and fishing licenses. Adults 18 and older will be eligible for cash prizes.
