Bradley Road Bridge Opens, Jones Blvd. Lanes Restricted | Transportation
There is good news and bad news for drivers in the northwest part of the Las Vegas valley.
The newly finished Bradley Road bridge opened to traffic at about 2:30 p.m. Friday. The bridge will carry drivers over the 215 northern beltway. Before the bridge opened, drivers had to stop at a light at Bradley Road and the 215.
While the bridge is good news for drivers, Clark County announced Friday that lanes along Jones Boulevard will be closing for several weeks.
Starting at around 6 a.m. Tuesday, Jones Boulevard will be reduced to one lane for northbound traffic at the beltway. The closure will be in place for the next six to eight weeks.
Crews will be making improvements to the flood control measures in the area as part of the ongoing highway construction project.
The bridge and flood control improvements are both part of a $116 million beltway widening, which will turn the 215 northern beltway into a full freeway with interchanges at Jones and Decatur boulevards.
