Northern Beltway Lane Shift Planned for Sunday Night

A major shift of traffic along the northern beltway is planned for Sunday night.

Lanes along the northern leg of the 215 beltway will be reduced between U.S. 95 and Jones Boulevard. One lane in each direction will be closed starting at 9 p.m. Sunday. Two lanes will be open by 5 a.m. Monday, but the lanes will be on the newly paved portion of the road under the south side of the Tenaya Way bridge.

The new traffic pattern is expected to be in place until spring. It is part of the ongoing improvement project for that section of the beltway. The entire paving project is set to be finished by summer 2014.
