Construction Set to Start on Beltway

There is good news and bad news for drivers in the northwest part of the city. The good news: the 215 Beltway will soon be a nonstop, four-lane freeway. The bad news: about two years worth of construction has to happen first.

Clark County says drivers should start to get ready for road closures and lane restrictions over the next two-and-a-half years while crews work on the section of the Beltway between Tenaya Way and Decatur Boulevard.

The project includes new interchanges at Jones and Decatur Boulevards and a new bridge at Bradley Road that will go over the freeway. When the freeway is finished, drivers will have more than seven miles of nonstop freeway from U.S. 95 to Losee Road.
