Ski Resort's Summer Season Starts Saturday

Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort (LVSSR) begins its 2013 summer season Saturday.

Hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Bighorn Grill and Bristlecone Bar will be open during regular summer hours.

This summer, the U.S. Forest Service is renovating its campgrounds so LVSSR is offering the only sites available in Lee Canyon.

During Memorial Day weekend, free scenic chairlift rides are offered to those who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. military, as well as their families.

Passes for summer activities can be purchased at Lee Canyon General Store and online at skilasvegas.com. The summer season is scheduled to last until Sept. 2. Summer season pricing is as follows:

  • Chairlift Rides (all riders): $10
  • Disc Golf (includes chairlift ride, two discs and map): $17
  • Disc Golf Season Pass (non-transferable): $50
  • Lawn Games: Free
  • Hiking: Free
  • Camping: RV (only self-contained), $25 per night (3 day max); Tent, $15 per night (3 day max)
