Students at the Northwest Career and Technical Academy got a glimpse at the job of an astronaut from Colonel Eric Boe.

Colonel Boe spoke to students Wednesday about his flights into space starting July 2000. He also spent 16 days working on the International Space Station in 2008. He was also on the final mission of the Space Shuttle Discovery. He says talking with the kids actually motivates him.

“I see their enthusiasm and excitement. It is a great way to be recharged and hear all their exciting plans about what they are going to do with their lives. Hopefully, they get from me the same kind of energy,” Boe said.
