Ponds at Floyd Lamb State Park Reopening | Public Spaces
The city of Las Vegas announced plans Thursday to reopen three of the four ponds at Floyd Lamb State Park at Tule Springs for fishing this weekend.
The city closed the ponds several weeks ago after several dead ducks were found in the area.
The necropsy, which is what an autopsy on an animal is called, was inconclusive and tests on the water showed nothing was wrong. No other dead water fowl has been found.
Ponds one through three will reopen Saturday. Pond four will be closed while maintenance crews work on a recirculation pump.
The city thanked the public for its patience during the closure.
