Northwest Career and Technical Academy Multicultural Dance Recital

Northwest Career and Technical Academy held its Multicultural Dance Recital on Monday. Performances from the school's Hip Hop Club and Polynesian Club were part of this event. Support from parents, friends, and family made this a night to remember.

Republican Kirschner Withdraws from Assembly Distict 4 Race

The remaining Republican is Michelle Fiore.

CARSON CITY -- Republican Jerimy Kirschner withdrew Monday as a candidate from the Assembly District 4 race in Clark County, leaving Michele Fiore as the only GOP candidate in the race.

First Baby of 2012 Born at Centennial Hills Hospital

Southern Nevada’s first baby of the year was born 14 seconds after midnight when Breijhandrai Coleman gave birth to a healthy girl at Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center.

Envy Essence-Faye Scurry weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce.

Coleman was ecstatic when she was informed that her new baby daughter was the first to be born in Southern Nevada in 2012.

Hiker Rescued from Mt. Charleston Keeps Photo Journal

Hiker Greg Rudowsky was stranded last week on Mt. Charleston after a powerful snowstorm hit the mountain and made it impossible for him and his dog, Tiki, to get back to safety. Rudowsky was rescued by local authorities, but while stuck on the mountain, he kept a photo diary of his experience.
