Fallen Officer To Be Honored at School Ceremony

 

Local law enforecement and school district officials will remember a fallen officer at a ceremony Friday.

Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie and other law enforcement officials will take parrt in the annual Marc Kahre Honor Day celebration at Marc Kahre Elementary School, 7887 West Gowan Road.

Parents and families are invited to attend the featured event of the day, the annual parade of officers that will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Kahre Field. School personnel will be available to guide those in attendance to the proper location for the event.

Palo Verde High senior basketball player Eris Winder would often change his shoes in the middle of the games last year. Battling back troubles, Winder was looking for ways to stay comfortable and limit the pain. Winder, one of seven players on the Sun’s Super Seven preseason team, clearly found the right pair of shoes during the playoffs.
