LAS VEGAS -- Las Vegas police say a fire captain has been cited after he allegedly struck a light pole and left the scene of the accident.

Police say Las Vegas Fire Captain Dean Fletcher was cited for two misdemeanor traffic violations after his car was found at the scene of an accident on Park Run Drive and Pavilion Center Drive last week.

Police say when officers arrived on the scene of the accident, Fletcher's car was there, but the driver was gone. Officers went to Fletcher's house a few blocks away but were unable to find him.

Witnesses reported seeing a white man in his mid to late-40's, five feet seven inches tall with gray hair and a crew cut fleeing the scene on foot.
