Prescription pill turn in event on May 30
News

LAS VEGAS -- Anyone needing to dispose of expired, unused or unwanted prescription pills can drop off the medication at a pill turn in event on Saturday, May 30.

The event is at Cimarron Memorial High School, 2301 N. Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV 89128 and goes from 8 a.m. until noon.

“We're seeing more and more youth take prescription pills that aren't prescribed to them, so they can study more, lose weight, or numb emotional pain. Family members and friends are becoming the new drug dealer to youth, most of the time without ever knowing it.” says Anna Cedro, Executive Director of the CARE Coalition.

The pill turn in event is hosted by  CARE Coalition, PACT Coalition and the Clark County School District Police.

There will also be free document shredding provided.
