LAS VEGAS -- A Clark County grand jury has indicted a 14-year-old boy for opening fire at a home in the northwest part of the Las Vegas valley.

On Friday, the jury indicted Ayden McKinnon on several charges, including home invasion, four counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon and four counts of discharging a weapon into a structure.

According to Metro Police, on Sept. 16, McKinnon, who was a student at Shadow Ridge High School, walked up to the home of a former friend near Grand Teton Drive and Jones Boulevard and fired a gun at the door.

Someone inside the home grabbed a gun and returned fire, hitting McKinnon.

The judge set bail at $80,000. McKinnon's next court date is Oct. 9.
