Ski Resort Announces Summer Schedule

The snow is gone on Mt. Charleston but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop at the Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort.

The resort has released its summer events schedule which includes a concert series, disc golf and the Annual Hill Cleanup.

The cleanup event is Saturday, June 23. They are looking for volunteers to help clean up the mountain. People will be cleaning up the trash leftover from the winter season. Prizes will be given away to people who help, including a free resort pass for the 2012-2013 ski season. A complimentary barbecue will follow the event. The cleanup is from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers are advised to wear hiking attire and sturdy shoes. LVSSR will provide people with trash bags, gloves and water. There is no need to RSVP

The Music on the Mountain music series returns Saturday, June 30. The festival is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., on one Saturday every month through September. There will be a variety of music from blues and blue grass to reggae and jazz. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children under 12.
