Officers Start Memorial Run for Fallen Law Enforcement

Dozens of law enforcement officers are off and running for the 14th annual Nevada Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Run.

The runners started Thursday morning from Police Memorial Park, near Cheyenne Avenue and Grand Canyon Drive. They are traveling north to Carson City where a memorial service will be held.

The run is divided into 120 segments, which reflects the 120 law enforcement officers in Nevada who have lost their lives.

The officers are carrying a baton containing the names of the fallen officers. The baton will be given to the families of those officers during the ceremony in Carson City.
