Police: 2 kids found in pools taken to hospital

Las Vegas Fire and Rescue and Metro Police were called to two separate incidents Tuesday in which children were submerged in water.

According to Metro Police, both incidents happened after 6 p.m.

The first call came out around 6:14 p.m. at 2000 block of Bayhill Drive near Fort Apache Road and Sahara Avenue. It happened at a party that had around 50 people in attendance, Metro Police said.

CPR had to be performed on the child who is said be either two or three in age. The child was taken to Summerlin Pediatrics. Metro's Abuse and Neglect Unit were called to the scene to investigate.

The second incident happened in northwest Las Vegas in the 1500 block of Chambolle Court near Charleston.

According to Metro Police, dispatch first received the call about the 11-month-old child around 6:27 p.m. When first responders arrived at the scene, the toddler was breathing and later transported to Summerlin Pediatrics for observation. Metro's Abuse and Neglect Unit were also notified about this incident.
